Rigmarole is a weird word; it looks like it should only have three syllables (RIGG-muh-rowle) but it's proper pronunciations do indeed include "RIGG-uh-muh-rowle" as well. The disparity between the pronunciation and the spelling leads a lot of people to add that extra "A" in there...THE MORE YOU KNOW!
Yeah. I try to say "rigmarole" really fast over and over and eventually it turns into "rigamorole." I wonder if other words are spelled now with extra syllables that once were not.
