Two focus groups, one in Nevada and one in Michigan, had an overall negative reaction to Palin's convention speech. Words that different members of the focus groups used to describe Palin's speech include "snide," "sarcastic," and "sophomoric."

Women especially walk a fine line between being assertive and bitchy. Hillary is able to pull this off after many years of experience, but Sarah just looked plain bitchy and in a context that did not call for it. I personally thought that last night was all (and I do mean all) about disparaging the Demecratic ticket without putting out any real plan of action for a Republican regime. I have to admit, though, that I was flipping between convention coverage and Project Runway, so I might have missed something. AND I did have to wonder what the PR judges would have said about Mrs. McCain's choice of dress! From: You-know-who
