Apparently, Giuliani's speech went too long, which meant that the convention director had to cut the feel-good biographical movie about Palin, which meant that when Palin took the podium there wasn't an adequate presentation of her "softer side," which meant that the attack-laden speech (much of it written before the campaign even had a VP nominee, mind you) wasn't properly balanced, which meant that for a lot of people their first impression of Palin was as a snarky partisan attacker of Obama as inexperienced, which looked weird given that the biographical movie also was supposed to better flesh-out Palin's experience, which meant that last night in many respects was a botch.

The GOP is doing a real bang up job. Did the Dems look this bad when Kerry was running? Not this bad, right?
