Somewhere in this not-so-fond farewell to my fair city is a valid point about how critics should refrain from being merely reflexive boosters. But mostly, it's ignorant and unintentionally hilarious. My favorite bit:
I do hate things about St. Louis: the willed ignorance, the racism, the smugness of the self-appointed social and cultural elite, the stupidity of the political class, etc.
The author of this piece is moving back to Boston.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people truly and honestly believe that their city is where all the stupid drivers are, where all the racists are, where all the snobs are, where none of the good looking people are, and where all the unusual weather happens.

P.S. best CAPTCHA ever = "worsier," I would define it as the air (but not necessarily the substance) of being worse.

I know David Bonetti and I kind of liked his farewell. I think it was kind of misconstrued a bit. He likes St Louis, he likes Stephen too haha, it's really funny to see them interact-- Stephen can say the most fucked up shit and Bonetti just chuckles. Oh, Stephen. He gets away with so much.
