I get the feeling that Team Obama recognizes we're in a heap of trouble economically. Today Obama met with Bush Jr. at the White House way earlier than usual for an in-coming president to meet with an out-going.

Then there's this very interesting 60 Minutes piece below on Obama's closest campaign advisors. This interview was shot just 90 minutes after Obama's victory speech. Don't you think normally a victorious campaign's closest advisors, some 90 minutes after the big victory speech, would be partying it up rather than sitting down soberly for an interview? These folks already were deep into the work of transition. The economic situation is so dire, there's no time to party. They're drinking coffee!

You should see when those dudes do party, though. Damn. Reverse-Double-Keg-Stands, is all I'm sayin'.

All the more reason to have confidence, right? Dude's not messin' around. I'm not sure I listened to any of the transitional stuff last time around. Was it always this prevalent in the media? Fantastic work so far ... if Bush could go only away sooner. Hell, McCain looked so relieved. Crazy CRAZY job to commit to, much less campaign for. Holy smokes we're lucky--WAIT--luck? Intelligence, competence and hard work are so different.
