Here is a great post at the Big Picture which debunks the thinly-veiled racist/classist screed that the Community Redevelopment Act and/or GSE's like Fannie and Freddie somehow singlehandedly caused the mortgage and credit crises. Worth a read, even if you find this kind of stuff boring. I don't find this stuff boring, but that's because I'm a geek that way.
