my mum is obsessed with idea of mrs. edwards coming out for hillary. would be sign, she says, that women can take separate political position -- i.e. don't have to listen to their children/husbands. even as obama fan, i like her thinking. happy belated birthday Matt! how you doing?
From what I've read, Elizabeth very much prefers Hillary.
It's a neat idea, and her absence from the Michigan Obama event was an implicit, at least, non-endorsement of Obama.
I think the John and Elizabeth Edwards may see themselves as healers. John endorsing Obama while Elizabeth implicitly endorses Hillary actually might help bring the part together for November. They look like honest brokers.
