First Place

Hey! The Cardinals are in first place! Despite the naysayers, will they actually be competitive this year? (Yes, I know ... it's early yet.)

The plan (if you could call it one) seems to be for the below-average rotation to lean on the above-average relief corps until Mulder and Carpenter can come back and then relieve the relievers.

Not much of a plan, but in the mediocre National League Central, it's so contingent crazy it just might work.
