(The ultimate example of this being when Hugh Grant solicited a prostitute while married to involved with Elizabeth Hurley.)

And if the marriage is kaput, then it's not like divorce is some taboo undertaking for politicians anymore. Rudy Giuliani divorced and remarried like 12 times or something while he was an officeholder in New York City.
